j.k. livin students from Eastern Hills HS speak at local School Board

April 6, 2016

Seven just keep livin students from Eastern Hills HS in Fort Worth, TX, had the honor of representing their school recently at the Board Room at the FWISD administration building. The j.k. livin students were part of the official vote on a $1.4M construction project to improve their school’s fitness center. The School Board Member who had invited the students to participate, Ms. Tobi Jackson, had nothing but glowing things to say about the j.k. livin students. She said, “it was inspiring for each of us to see the maturity the j.k. livin initiative has bestowed upon each of the students in attendance.  The jkl students brilliantly reviewed the architectural plans, discussed them, asked pertinent and engaging questions, and approved $1.4 M of construction for their campus.  In the process, they determined what they could do to better their campus. That’s leadership, and I presume that is something jkl can boast about nationally!”
