During the Teen Adventure Challenge hosted by arc, our jk livin students from Azusa High School and Century High School participated in health and fitness challenges. These challenges included mountain biking, kayaking, a low ropes course, rock climbing, and trail running. There was even a student art showcase! It was a wonderful team building adventure!

The j.k. livin program ran a 10k alongside other campus groups, such as the marching band, in celebration of their schools 100th anniversary!

On March 24th, students from Diamond Hill, Pinkston and Sam Houston high schools participated in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon. Despite the horrific weather that weekend, the turnout was amazing! Over 100 kids got up as early as 4:00 a.m. to run in the race or volunteer at a water station. It was an exhausting but rewarding day. Special thanks to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation for coordinating this memorable event!

UBH is a homeless shelter that assists families in getting back on their feet. The children volunteered with passing out water, directing traffic, handing out trophies, and of course, running. Two children enrolled in our LA program won 1st place in their divisions. As a sponsor, Helen’s Cycles rewarded the 1st place winners with brand new bikes!  Our kids LOVE community service!
